Podcast! Foster Chats available now!

Okay, so it’s been a while, I need to update this blog more. A lot of things have happened.

I’m in the process of finishing 501(c)3 paperwork to make us an official nonprofit, yay! And with that we will move into a voucher distribution method, it’s still in the works.

More on that later, a very exciting update is the new podcast! I am producing a weekly podcast that focuses on Foster Care, releasing every Friday!

Three episodes are available already! In the podcast I will be covering topics like Foster Care Myths, what it’s really like to be part of the Foster system, Foster Care and Adoption representation in the media, and more!

I would love ideas for episode topics, so just email me at steppingupforfostercare@gmail.com if you have any comments, questions, or things you want to hear on the podcast!

This is something I’m pretty excited about, a big part of our mission here at Stepping Up is educating people. The shoes, of course, are one priority, but education is the other BIG thing. The more people are informed, the better decisions they can make, and so many people don’t even know where to start when it comes to Foster Care. More tragically, many people have no idea how much of a crisis there is in Foster Care with too many kids and not enough families.

Foster Chats is being produced through Anchor and is available on Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, and basically anywhere podcasts are heard.

I’ll be updating more frequently again, just got my life back under control after a crazy few months, thanks for reading!
